After months of work, a Taproot Foundation grant, and input from lots of people, we are launching a new website design in 1 week. The site will still be at www.seniorservices.org. Things to check out:
  • Text resize tool on the top
  • Updated navigation to direct users to programs (link on right to list) or topic areas if user doesn’t know where to go
  • Search box in the top right to help you find everything you’re looking for
  • Find a senior center locator – type in your zip and locate a senior center near you. Same function for community dining sites.
  • Increased online donations options

Story Tell, “Keeping Memories Alive”

Story Tell offers audio and video recordings, as well as old film and tape transfer for a great price. All proceeds benefit Senior Services’ vital programs and support community needs. Do you want to record a message for your family or friends? Have you been meaning to transfer all your home movies to DVD? Story Tell is for you.

Worried About Your Memory?
The Memory Wellness Program of the University of Washington and VA Medical Center is seeking adult volunteers, over 55, with or without memory problems, to participate in nationally funded research studies associated with memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease. Donate your car to Senior Services

Have a used auto, truck, or boat and want to donate it to a good cause? Contact Northwest Charity Donation Service at 1-800-961-6119 and tell them you want the proceeds from your donation to go to Senior Services. They will pick up your vehicle and take care of all the paper work. It’s easy for you and the proceeds will benefit seniors in the community.

Featured Program
Community Dining
The Community Dining Program serves hot lunches at 28 sites throughout King County. Seniors enjoy low-cost meals and wonderful social interaction with peers. Ethnic Dietitian Services works in partnership with other agencies and programs to cater to the special dietary tastes represented by our diverse senior population. Mobile Market is a direct delivery service for selected grocery and supplement items.
